Today, a new serial begins with book two of The Môrdreigiau Chronicles: A River Trembles. If you’re new here, I might best describe this series as a Regency-era Arthurian quest to avoid ecological collapse, with sea dragons. This is the second book of The Môrdreigiau Chronicles and you probably (definitely!) need to go read the first book before starting on this one.
One more note — this post will become a landing page/index for the book, so if you see this in your email, you are getting a unique snapshot in time.
Book 2: A River Trembles
A River Trembles continues the epic romantic adventures of A Grail for Eidothea. In this new book, a dreigiau môr monarch fights to claim their power and form the first Chosen Court in centuries. Find out what really happened at the end of A Grail for Eidothea.
A River Trembles is compiled from a collection of notebooks, letters, and diaries.
A Note on Notations
Throughout, I have used the colon (:) to mark conversations occurring via thoughts, instead of being spoken aloud, an ability unique to the dreigiau môr. This is the convention used by Eidothea in her diary, presumably because italics wasn’t an option for her, so I have kept it as is.
As you can see this book is compiled from multiple sources. The 32-minute long video above is a full flip through of the compendium I discovered in an old trunk in my attic. Within it, I found three different primary sources, in addition to some notes on dreigiau môr biology. I also found a parallel story in The Red Book of Rhiannon, and so I wove it into the narrative. To keep things clear, I’ve marked the sources as small subheadings like this one:
Chapters
I’m sharing the first two chapters here first, and then we’ll go chapter by chapter weekly.
And that’s a wrap! The sequel, A Sword for Wellington, is coming out, um, some time in June hopefully?

Start Here: The Môrdreigiau Chronicles
Here’s the Glossary (helpful with the Welsh words!) I found this old trunk in my attic. I started this publication to share all I have found within it. The first find is a diary from 1814. It’s magical. It’s full of hidden journaling and talks about sea dragons, or dreigiau môr.
I'm here!
Morddreigiau! Am syniad gwych! 🌸🩷🌸
