I am Welsh on my mother's side (nee Roberts), and Wells is a family name on my dad's side. But, alas, the latter is actually German (a corruption of Woell) when my ancestor emigrated to these shores.
Wells is a small cathedral town ... and it's named after the um, wells in the area ... presumably because back in the day it was super swampy. One of these days I'll flesh out the story idea I had 25 years ago set there. I'm Welsh on my mum's side too!
The Wells name is such a fixture in my family that my son is John Wells Ritenbaugh IV (the name skipped a generation, over me), and I have a nephew whose middle name is Wells.

I wonder what other gifts they might share! Oh, her heart is torn.
Hmm, to be revealed! Eventually.
