Today I’m announcing a new addition to my Substack publication: the Project Starfish subscriber chat.
This is a conversation space in the Substack app that I set up exclusively for you — my subscribers — kind of like a group chat or live hangout. I’ll post short prompts, thoughts, and updates that come my way, before the novel serialisation starts and you can jump into the discussion.
I’m hoping we can get to know each other a little better there and it will be our home base as we read the Project Starfish novels together, where questions will be very welcome, such as: “But what does that mean?” and I reply “All will be revealed in good time, I hope.” Speculations are also welcome!
To join our chat, you’ll need to download the Substack app, now available for both iOS and Android. Chats are sent via the app, not email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens.
How to get started
Download the app by clicking this link or the button below. Substack Chat is now available on both iOS and Android.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ. You can drop me a line as well and I’m happy to help with any issues!
Getting the app or bookmarking the Project Starfish Substack page means you’ll also be able to continue to receive behind the scenes thoughts and updates during the rollout of the first novel. These will be shared in the form of Notes, which are publicly accessible and can be viewed from the menu bar on the Project Starfish Substack page.
If you’re happy just to read the novel in your inbox, as well as some behind the scenes updates and thoughts on writing in between novel releases, that’s okay too … but wouldn’t it be cool if you could join in the fun?
I am new to Substack but I am willing to help out if you happen to get stuck or lost!
