I know, you probably opened this email (or read this post) hoping beyond hope that it would be an early chapter release for A Grail for Eidothea.
Sorry, that’s not it. Nor am I announcing a start date for the massive and major project that is book two, A River Trembles. I am getting close to finished on that one. Just wait until I show you the contraption I pulled out of the trunk. To get this story to you, I had to weave together multiple sources, stringing them along in the right order. Honestly. I deserve a PhD for deciphering so much nineteenth century handwriting.
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel (to the point that I’m working on faux book covers and book trailers) and I can work this new project in because book three is going to be a lot easier.
Now the News
Instead, I have decided to put on my own writing cap, thank you very much, and I will be writing a once a month instalment over at Stardust Press. You can subscribe and read all the posts for free.
While you can purchase a paid subscription there, please note that I will not be receiving any funds. I opted out but feel free to support my fellow resident serialists (which sounds rather grim).
Stardust Press has some lovely things for speculative writers planned, and I’m looking forward to the three other serials written by
, and .My new serial is called Hiraeth. It’s billed over at Stardust Press as a “romantasy Odyssey”. Because I’ve been living and breathing sea dragons (dreigiau môr).
It is a fantastical imagining of what I think happened to a past Chosen Court. All it took was a few lines in the upcoming book two A River Trembles and the story (which is not recorded in the Red Book of Rhiannon) started sparking! An added bonus is that there’s a poll for you at the end of every episode, which will make way more sense when I tell you more about Hiraeth at a future date!
The first instalment will be released at Stardust Press on August 26th (US timezones) and I’ll share it again here on The Môrdreigiau Chronicles on September 18th, a few days before the second instalment goes live at Stardust Press on September 23rd, giving you plenty of time to hop over and subscribe there if you find you can’t wait!
I will be sharing a little more about Hiraeth in a future post, but lemme just show you the header (with thanks to
for finding the image) …Back to our regular programming…
A new chapter of A Grail for Eidothea is coming this Saturday at 7am (Australian EST time) and it’s the second last chapter. I don’t think you are quite ready for this…
